Estonia offers the Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) — Type D Long-Stay Visa for non-resident remote workers and self-employed professionals. The program lets eligible applicants live in Estonia for Up to 12 months (Type D). Type C short-stay visa available for up to 90 days. How to Apply for the Estonia DNV

Processing time: Up to 30 days (15–30 days standard; up to 45 days during peak season May–September)

  1. 1Confirm eligibility (non-EU/EEA, remote work via telecom for employer/clients registered outside Estonia).
  2. 2Fill in online application form at e-estonia.com, print, sign, and date it.
  3. 3Gather all required documents including 6 months of bank statements.
  4. 4Pay state fee (Type C: €80; Type D: €100).
  5. 5Submit in person at nearest Estonian embassy/consulate or VFS Global center (available in USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Ukraine).
  6. 6Attend appointment for biometrics.
  7. 7Collect visa at the same location within ~30 days.
