Requirements & Eligibility
Income
Minimum USD $50,000/year. Applicants must certify they expect to earn this amount annually and have sufficient means to support themselves and any dependents during their stay.
Documents needed
- Valid passport
- Recent passport-size photograph (2×2 inches, 51×51 mm)
- Proof of remote employment or business ownership outside Barbados (employment letter, business registration, freelance contracts)
- Evidence of annual income of at least USD $50,000 (bank statements, tax returns)
- Health insurance valid in Barbados for duration of stay (travel insurance NOT accepted — must be long-term residency health insurance)
- Entry visa if required by nationality
- Proof of family relationship (marriage/birth certificate) for family applications.
How to Apply for the Barbados DNV
Processing time: 7 working days from submission

- 3Upload all required documents.
- 4Wait up to 7 working days for email decision from Chief Immigration Officer.
- 5Upon approval, pay fee via ezpay.gov.bb within 28 days.

- 7Present stamp details to immigration upon arrival.
